CEO

Sheikh has been the Chief Executive Officer of First Abu Dhabi Islamic Finance PJSC. His career, spanning over the years, is marked by distinguished leadership in various industry sectors.

Sheikh began his professional journey in the banking sector with over 15 years’ experience in senior roles at reputed institutions like HSBC Middle East, Dubai Islamic Bank, and ABN AMRO Bank. He has a master’s degree in international business from the University of Wollongong, Dubai.

In his tenure at FAB, Sheikh has been instrumental in successfully driving business transformation and financial restructuring. He has been actively involved with top-tier companies and leadership circles across the MENA region, bringing impactful insights and strategies to the table.

Beyond First Abu Dhabi Islamic Finance PJSC, Sheikh’s thought-leadership extends to various board positions across the region, viz. Emaar the Economic City (KSA), EII Capital PSC, Memaar Building Systems FZC, and Americana Restaurants International PLC (UAE). Previously, he served as Chairman and member on several boards, including Daman – National Health Insurance Company, TECOM Group, AWQAF & Minors Affairs Foundation – Government of Dubai, and Aramex PJSC, among others.

Sheikh’s career is a testament to his result-oriented approach making significant contributions to diverse industries such as technology, logistics, banking and finance, private equity, real estate, food and beverage, insurance, and hospitality.

CFO

Omar is the Chief Financial Officer of First Abu Dhabi Islamic Finance PJSC responsible for overseeing the finance department in the company.

For more than 20 years, Omar has held numerous leadership roles in diversified sectors across the region, managing more than 10 subsidiaries and teams across four countries. He has also worked closely with well-renowned companies including Emirates, PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) and Bin Hamoodah Company.

Omar holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from the Applied Science University in Amman, Jordan and is a Certified Public Accountant from the State of New Hampshire, United States of America.

Director of Loan & Investment

George FIXLER is the director of loan and investment at First Abu Dhabi Islamic Finance PJSC. He is responsible for leading the real estate financing and investment business lines at FAB.

He has over 22 years of international experience in the financial services Industry

Head of Asset Management

Assar Khoja Mohamed is the Head of Asset Management at First Abu Dhabi Islamic Finance PJSC.

In addition, Yasser oversees Real Estate Portfolio at First Abu Dhabi Islamic Finance PJSC

Prior to this, he headed the Real Estate Projects and Property Appraisals (REPPA) department at First Abu Dhabi Islamic Finance PJSC

Assar Khoja Mohamed's primary responsibilities are to create strategic investment plans that support the First Abu Dhabi Islamic Finance PJSC’s financial and growth targets, through ascertaining real estate investment opportunities as well as management of the real estate portfolio.

Assar Khoja Mohamed has over 30 years of experience in managing and overseeing real estate projects, investment plans & advisory, and real estate development.

Assar Khoja Mohamed is a qualified Civil Engineer, from the University of Mansoura, Egypt.

Head of Legal

Muhammad Majid Manzoor is the Head of Legal at First Abu Dhabi Islamic Finance PJSC

He has held this role since February 2014, and is responsible for the Legal Department at First Abu Dhabi Islamic Finance PJSC

Muhammad Majid Manzoor has over 15 years of professional experience, and plays a lead role in providing strategic legal counsel to top management and manage the legal affairs of the company.

Muhammad Majid Manzoor holds a Master of Laws (LLM) degree from the University of London, United Kingdom.

Compliance Manager

Amira Mohamed is Compliance Manager at First Abu Dhabi Islamic Finance PJSC

She has held this role from May 2015, and is responsible for the Compliance function at First Abu Dhabi Islamic Finance PJSC

Amira Mohamed's primary responsibilities are to ensure the company operates within the regulatory framework and promote a culture of compliance at First Abu Dhabi Islamic Finance PJSC. She plays a lead role in developing programs, reviewing company policies from a regulatory perspective, and advising management on possible compliance risks.

Amira Mohamed has over 15 years of experience in different sectors. Amira Mohamed holds a graduate degree in doctor of Medicine from the University of Ovidius, Romania.
